You can dive year-round in Bunaken Island and Manado if you are on the good condition of boats. All our boats are large, with double engines and they also have a good maintenance, so they are ready to handle the year-round diving conditions in Bunaken Island and Manado.
According to the various guide/dive books, the dry and wet seasons are: |
Wet season is from November to March with cooler winds from north-west which can bring heavier rains and rougher seas.
Visibility is about 15-20m but can sometimes drop to 10m for a few days.
If you're coming to visit the rainforest, we actually prefer the rainy season (but again it is year-round)
because that is when the forest and highlands are watered and are at their most lush.
